Out The Window
Another writing session at Ian’s yesterday. I did some more on the strange play I started last week; letting the characters do the talking is proving very interesting indeed.
Having written the first scene of Jon (the elder of the two) trying to get Paul to go to sleep after a long day where it appears somebody was killed, I wrote some more set the morning after when Jon has to go out to meet someone and needs Paul to stay in the hotel room and watch TV. Paul doesn’t want to. He wants to be with his brother on what he perceives to be a great adventure.
To justify to Jon (who is getting ready in the bathroom) that he simply can’t stay in and watch the TV, Paul unplugs it, carries it to the window and drops it twenty stories, watching it smash into the pavement below.
Weird.
